Whiz Kids meets Thursday afternoons at Swanson. It is a one to one tutoring program, focusing on literacy and math. Each child is paired with a trained volunteer from the community. After an hour of tutoring, students can stay for an optional half hour of club time, where they learn about God.
Whiz Kids have partnered with Denver Public Schools for over 25 years, and are now working with Adams, Aurora, Cherry Creek, Douglas, Jefferson County and Littleton Public Schools.
You can find more information about Whiz Kids Tutoring on their website.
